There's Always A Reason to Dance

Date

March 2020

Location

Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter Public School

Role

Wardrobe Supervisor & Dresser

WOFA is a West African dance company at Pioneer Valley Performing Arts led by Alpha Bisko Kaba, who is a professional drummer and dancer who came from Guinea in West Africa, to NYC and eventually found his way to PVPA where he inspires us all to always find a reason to dance.
This production was the last production before the closure of the world amid the global pandemic. The entire company was given new costumes inspired from Kente cloth, a textile design deriving from Ghana. One of the graduating senior student's families in the company comes from Ghana so the company wanted to feature that and she actually draped and assistant designed on this production to help her design come to life.
